Thank You Joe Biden! Gal Gadot, Chris Rock, Constance Wu, Sacha Baron Cohen & Dozens More A-Listers Praise POTUS For Israel Stance & Hostage Releases

A massive collection of some of Hollywood’s biggest names have commended President Joe Biden for his “unshakable moral conviction” and helping to get home some of the hostages taken by Hamas in their terror attack against Israel.

A letter to Biden posted Monday on the website NoHostageLeftBehind has signatures from Amy Schumer, Bob Odenkirk, Gal Gadot, Chris Rock, Bradley Cooper, Madonna, Greg Berlanti, Constance Wu, Judd Apatow, Tyler Perry, Sacha Baron Cohen, Paramount Global boss Shari Redstone, Taika Waititi, Olivia Wilde, Jason Blum, WME’s Ari Greenburg, Gersh’s Leslie Siebert, Zoe Saldana. Seth Meyers, Sean “Puffy” Combs and many more.

“Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group’s founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza,” it reads. “We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages.

Even with the release of Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz pm Monday, and mother and daughter Judith and Natalie Raanan late last week, over 200 individuals, of many nationalities from children to the elderly who were abducted by Hamas during the October 7 terror attack remain captives.

From stern and sharp speeches, a quick visit to Israel last week and a strong US military presence in the region, Biden has been unequivocal in his support of the Jewish state and its right to defend itself since Hamas’ bloody surprise attack of Oct. 7 that killed 1400 and left thousands more injured.

Hamas has also been very public in its aims.

As well as explicit videos posted on social media of the siege, that took out towns, a music festival and military bases, Hamas also put out footage of women, seniors and even little kids being hauled off. As airstrikes relentlessly hit Gaza, Israel has massed around 300,000 troops and reservists on the border for a ground invasion expected at any moment.

With protests breaking out around the world over the humanitarian crisis as well as the attacks on Israel, it is estimated that thousands of Palestinians have died from Tel Aviv’s response. Israel has ordered an immediate evacuation of citizen from the jurisdiction as its soldiers get ready to make their move to rake our Hamas, its leaders and infrastructure.

Reports out of Tel Aviv and DC claim the ground invasion has been delayed at the personal request of Biden to give more time to get more hostages out. Reports are also coming out of the region that the delay may be coming to an end.

Hollywood’s public stance has been challenged during this crisis, even as occurrences of antisemitism and other hate crimes have risen in the immediate aftermath.

Despite the requests of some of the biggest writers in the business, the WGA has decided not to say anything about the attack of Israel. However, the DGA and the still striking SAG-AFTRA both put out statements condemning “the horrific acts of aggression against the Israeli people on Oct. 7.” Big agencies WME, CAA and UTA have made similar remarks

Earlier, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Haim Saban, UTA co-founder Jim Berkus, CAA’s Chris Silbermann, Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz, Paramount’s Brian Robbins and others asserted “We unequivocally stand in solidarity with Israel in the global fight against terrorism.” Disney’s Bob Iger and Dana Walden have both reached out to their employees, as has Warner Bros Discovery’s David Zaslav.

Corporately, Disney, Comcast, Skydance and others have donated millions to Magen David Adom, an affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and other organizations.

October 23, 2023

Dear President Biden,

We are heartened by Friday’s release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan and by today’s release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity.

But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered – women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.

Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group’s founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza.

We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages.

We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.

Sincerely,
