If you’re hoping to surprise the man in your life with something a little more likely to stick around in his closet, then this best-selling fleece jacket is worth considering. After all, who doesn’t need basic outerwear to rock when the weather starts to get chilly?
With over 9,000 customer ratings and the No. 1 best seller rank in men’s fleece jackets and coats, this Amazon Essentials mid-weight jacket is a favorite to don during the cold-weather season, according to Amazon shoppers.

For example, you can use it as a comfy layer under a heavy winter coat or you can toss it on when you need a little extra warmth during the day. Though it’s simple in its design, the jacket features a high collar to help keep you warm and elasticized cuffs for comfort.
One shopper favorably compared the jacket to the fleece from popular clothing brand Eddie Bauer.
“I was afraid this might feel cheap,” wrote. “To the contrary — I think the trim and finish is better than Eddie Bauer (which is my usual fleece brand). It’s also nice and heavyweight compare to most other fleeces.”
One shopper even pointed out how the jacket was a win on their much taller and broader frame. “Great value! I’m 6’8″ and the sleeves and body are actually long enough,” they wrote.
Although some reviewers experienced some issues with the sizing, it didn’t appear to be a drawback for the majority of shoppers.
“For the price it can’t be beat,” one Amazon reviewer explained. “I was looking for comfort and just having a warm fleece with a full zipper, without spending for name brand. This fleece fits the bill.”
