Tift hospital moving to company-run ER staff

Mar. 25—TIFTON — Tift County's hospital is moving from an in-house emergency staff to an ER manned by an outside company.

Tift Regional Medical Center will begin using Core Clinical Partners to provide emergency medicine and clinical oversight starting July 1, a statement from Southwell, the hospital's operator, said.

The emergency room now uses staff members who are direct employees of the hospital, Southwell said.

"This collaboration will bring Core's expertise and innovation to the more than 40,000 annual visits at Tift Regional's emergency department," said Dr. Boykin Robinson, CEO of Core Clinical Partners.

"Tift's mission has always been to provide our community with accessible, high-quality healthcare," said Christopher Dorman, president/CEO of Southwell. "Partnering with Core is a strategic step towards enhancing our emergency medicine services. We are confident that Core's expertise and innovative approaches will elevate the level of care received by our patients."

Core Clinical Partners will be actively recruiting emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers to join the TRMC. Individuals interested in exploring career opportunities should contact Kevin Yerovsek, Core's senior director of recruiting, at kyerovsek@coreclinicalpartners.com.
