A man who became an online hit after recording himself skateboarding while drinking cranberry juice to the Fleetwood Mac song Dreams will take part in Joe Biden's virtual Inauguration Day parade.

Nathan Apodaca shot to internet stardom after he released the clip on TikTok last year.

The video received millions of views, prompting scores of emulators, including Fleetwood Mac members Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, and Lindsey Buckingham.

Mr Apodaca will participate in the celebration's virtual ‘Parade Across America’ livestream, which will replace the traditional Inauguration Day parade amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He will join Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Garth Brooks at the event, NME reported.

Mr Brooks performed during the inaugural celebration of President Barack Obama in 2009. He turned down a chance to play for President Donald Trump in 2017, citing a scheduling conflict.

Invited by incoming first lady Jill Biden, Mr Brooks has known the Bidens for more than a decade, when Mr Biden was Obama's vice president.

The country music star said that, for this week's inaugural, he will perform solo doing "broken down, bare-bones stuff," and hinted at covering material by songwriters from outside the US.
