Yahoo Finance TikTok mom goes viral for putting 6-month-old in flower pot full of ‘hot chocolate’: ‘OMG, I can’t’
A mom got creative with her baby’s Christmas photos, and now, the festive footage is going viral!
Mom and TikToker Ashlie (@lilashiwee) gained over 2.5 million views and nearly 4,000 comments when she shared her “hot chocolate” photoshoot online.
Now, just like the mom who’s revealing Disney World’s secrets for the perfect Christmas fudge, Ashlie’s video is getting people around the world in the Christmas spirit!

In Ashlie’s now-viral video, we see her 6-month-old son happily sitting in what looks like a giant cup of hot cocoa — complete with giant marshmallows and a peppermint stick stirrer (or perhaps a straw).
TikTokers immediately fell in love with the photoshoot idea and ran to the comments to ask Ashlie where she got the props from.
In a follow-up video, Ashlie explained that it was simply a large flower pot painted red, with its holes plugged up on the bottom.
For the peppermint stick stirrer, Ashlie painted a PVC pipe — and the giant marshmallows were actual marshmallows purchased from Kroger’s. (She advises parents to keep a close eye, so babies don’t choke on the marshmallows.)
She explained that the hot chocolate was simply water (at her baby’s preferred bath time temperature), with some Hershey’s cocoa mixed in. According to the mom, this was completely baby-safe; she just recommends bathing babies right after you take the photos.
The end result is an adorable holiday shoot that’s perfect for family Christmas cards!

TikTokers applauded Ashlie’s creativity in the comment section.
“*saves for when I have a baby in five years*,” one user joked.
“OMG, I can’t,” another user commented, followed by numerous heart-eye emojis.
“This is the most creative thing I’ve ever seen! HE IS SO STINKING CUTE!” another user exclaimed.
“I’m so in love with this!! He’s so gorgeous,” wrote one user.
“[This] honestly made my day!” added another user, heart emojis in tow.
Ashlie’s creative Christmas photoshoot just goes to show that when it comes to making and capturing special holiday memories, you don’t have to break the bank!
