Summer came. And then went. And then came again. But now it’s gone – but not for good, surely?
Anyway, as far as we’re concerned, summer means eating a thousand ice creams and never being judged for it. Whether that’s Little Moons’ new mochi ice cream flavours, pineapple ice cream in an actual pineapple like this one from Lidl, or ice cream van-inspired treats like this Slush Puppies ice cream – you should be getting stuck into as much ice cream as possible.
Now, speaking of ice cream vans, have you ever thought how amazing it would be to be able to have Mr Whippy ice creams at the click of your fingers instead of having to wait to hear that ice cream van drive up your road?
If you answered, “yes”, then you are in luck, friend! Because, thanks to Tyla, we’ve come across this TikTok that shows you how to make Mr Whippy ice creams at home. And the best part is, you only need a handful of ingredients!
TikTok user garip_official1 starts by mixing coconut milk, maple syrup and vanilla extract together, before pouring it into a zip-lock freezer bag. He then fills a bigger zip-lock freezer bag with ice before putting the other freezer bag inside too. He then seals the bag and shakes the whole lot very vigorously for five minutes. Once that time is up, and your arms feel like they’ll never work again, simply snip a corner of the freezer bag with the coconut milk mixture inside to create a sort-of piping bag. Then grab an ice cream cone of your choice and swirl that delicious ice cream onto it – 99’ style!
You can add sprinkles, sauces, chopped nuts or all manner of things to give you the full ice cream van experience!
