TikTok users are revealing how they’ve matured in new trend: ‘the frontal lobe is frontal lobing’

In one of TikTok’s newest trends, users are posting videos revealing how much they’ve matured.

As Adele’s “Love In The Dark” plays, a series of facts, including the TikTok user’s current age, can be seen while they stare at the camera. Other TikTokers have taken to the comments of these videos to talk further about maturing and the fear associated with growing older.

Austin Schneider (@austinschneider) shared how he’s changed at 24 years old. “Starting to like the color green” and “starting to like tomatos” are among the things he’s discovered.

“Life is weird,” he adds.

“self growth and maturing is such a scary thing at the same time”

Austin isn’t alone in recognizing how he’s changed as he’s gotten older.

“Bro liking greeen was my first step too lmao,” someone joked.

“The frontal lobe is frontal lobing,” one user replied.

“self growth and maturing is such a scary thing at the same time,” another wrote.

20-year-old content creator Ally (@ally.renee1) loves to cook and is working toward her dream.

“Life is awesome!!!” she writes. “Even with the tough times.”

“protect her at all costs”

“You’re doing GREAT,” someone replied. “Take this time to stack up money, learn more about who you are and your value so nobody else can define it.”

“living life to its fullest you are amazing,” another wrote.

“protect her at all costs,” one user said.

23-year-old Beau Brannan (@beaubrannan) is also “starting to like the color green” and misses his mom.

“This chapter feels so bittersweet and confusing, depends on the day it’s either pure excitement or overwhelming stress”

“the green thing is oddly specific and yet i’m going through the same thing,” one user responded.

“getting tired at 8:30pm is so real,” another said.

“This chapter feels so bittersweet and confusing, depends on the day it’s either pure excitement or overwhelming stress,” someone wrote.

For Doona (@donatsuyang), the fear of eventually turning 30 is one felt by many TikTokers.

“Every single word resonated with me. So painstakingly. Thank you for being so raw”

“Life begins at 30,” someone wrote. “Sick of the notion that you only have from 20-30 to live to the fullest, achieve your dreams, find love, and be relevant.”

“literally my thoughts all week,” another said.

“Every single word resonated with me. So painstakingly,” one user replied. “Thank you for being so raw.”

Getting older can be scary, but trends like this remind us that we aren’t alone. This apprehension is more common than we think.
