A TikToker shared the hilarious letter he received from McDonald’s
A TikTok user is going viral after sharing the elaborate letter he received from McDonald’s.
The TikToker, whose user name is fittingly @lebigmac, claims he sent the chain a “formal complaint” after trying the chain’s spicy nuggets, which debuted in September 2020.
His problem? Apparently, the nuggets “weren’t spicy.”
According to @lebigmac’s clip, McDonald’s received his complaint and went above and beyond with its response. The company mailed the TikToker a full-on apology note, complete with a few vouchers for free food.
“Please allow us to make it right,” one of the coupons reads.
@lebigmac i’m just glad they got my letter #WorldSeries #GamingLife #forbooo #fyp #foryou #fypシ

TikTok users were both impressed and surprised by the situation. Some found it strange that @lebigmac would complain over something so arbitrary, while others praised McDonald’s for playing along.
“You’re kidding, right? There’s a lot more important issues than not getting spicy enough nuggets,” one user wrote.
“Some people just really don’t have anything to do,” another added.
“You guys will find any reason to complain,” another wrote.
“ALL THE PEOPLE IN THIS THREAD: UNDERSTAND THAT COMPANIES LITERALLY WANT YOU TO GIVE FEEDBACK,” another wrote, coming to @lebigmac’s defense.
“He’s giving feedback, why are people complaining?” another added.
It’s unclear if @lebigmac’s nuggets were somehow defective, or if they were literally just less spicy than he wanted. Either way, he won’t be able to use his coupons on the item that sparked his dilemma.
Similar to the now-infamous Travis Scott meal, the chain’s spicy nuggets quickly sold out within weeks of their release at most locations. By late October, McDonald’s announced the item had been taken off its menu for good.
Of course, the nuggets could return someday. In the meantime, @lebigmac has some free food — plus, 2.6 million TikTok views — to help him feel better. He could also maybe commiserate with another McDonald’s customer, who went viral after sharing the giant chicken filet he got instead of his 10-piece nugget order.
