Woman turns heads with details of most disastrous first date she's ever had: 'You will never hear from me again'

A TikToker said she hasn’t returned to Taco Bell following a disastrous first date that even Tinder deemed one of its “top 10” worst dates ever.

Elyse Myers (@elysemyers), a TikToker with over 836,000 followers, recently captivated the platform with the story of her most tragic first date ever in a viral video that has racked up over 15.4 million views.

“Before I met my smoke show of a husband, I was on dating apps, as you do,” she began her tale. “This man messages me out of the blue and he goes, ‘I like your face, let’s go get some food.'”

With just $1,000 and one day, this Harlem bedroom gets a brand new look:

Myers said the man asked her to meet at his house to drive to the restaurant together — a move she admitted should have raised some red flags, but the date progressed. After driving 45 minutes to the man’s house, Myers said the potential suitor claimed he lost his car keys and requested that she drove the two of them to get food.

“Should I have just left him right there and gone home? Yes. Did I? Absolutely not,” Myers recalled. “He gets in [the car] and starts giving me turn-by-turn directions … We end up at a Taco Bell, which is fine. I’m like, ‘Dine-in or drive-thru?’ and he’s like, ‘Drive-thru,’ and I’m like, ‘Great, he has a plan.’ We get to the speaker and he just leans over and goes, ‘I would like 100 hard shell tacos, thank you.'”

But wait, it gets even weirder.

After the pair got to the window to pick up the food, Myers’ date apparently discovered he had “forgotten” his wallet, leaving Myers to pay for the 100 tacos.

The pair then went back to the man’s house, where Myers met his dad, whom he lived with.

“The hoops I am teleporting through to convince myself that this decision that I have made is OK is just wild,” the TikToker said.

“[My date] walks past his dad into the kitchen. He just starts emptying the boxes of tacos, just releasing them onto the table, puts two chairs at the table, sits down and he just screams at the top of his lungs, ‘Let’s FEAST,'” Myers continued. “I am just calmly unwrapping my taco and taking a bite of it. We are eating hard shell tacos in complete silence. You can hear both of us chewing, it’s absolute chaos. The dad walks up, grabs the taco. There’s a hundred of them, we have so many to spare. He is eating over us, just standing, doesn’t sit.”

After the father asked Myers if she wanted to see his “studio,” she said she knew it was time for the date to be over.

“I was like, ‘I have never wanted to see anything less in my entire life,'” she recalled. “It was that moment that I decided the date was completely over or else I was going to be killed, 100%.”

“I am now just, like, collecting the tacos because I paid for them,” she added. “I walk out with boxes of tacos in my purse. I looked back and I was like, ‘Thank you for this experience. You will never hear from me again.'”

TikTokers were understandably shocked by the sheer number of red flags presented during one short date.

“The fact that it just got worse w every layer u peeled back LMFAOOOOOO,” TikToker Drew Afualo commented.

“OK as @tinder I’ve heard A LOT of bad dating stories but as of 10/7/2021 this one is top 10,” Tinder’s account wrote.

In a follow-up TikTok, Myers answered some of the many questions she received about the taco story, reaffirming that it was actually 100 tacos and not at all an exaggerated figure. She even added how much she had spent on the date — a whopping $149.

And as if this saga didn’t have enough twists and turns already — another TikToker, @_j__e__n_, has since come forward to claim she was also the victim of an eerily similar Taco Bell date scheme.

Be careful out there, ladies.
