TikTokers satisfy viewers by melting lava into random objects
Melt and Pour is a strange combination of chemistry and ASMR.
The TikTok is devoted to melting random things using lava stones, actual lava and molten aluminum, which is aluminum heated into its liquid form. The chemistry wizard behind Melt and Pour uses an induction heater to liquify lava rocks into fiery lava.

Some of the TikTok’s projects are just to see what happens, like putting a lava stone in egg yolks, others are to forge metal objects, like an aluminum sword, using molds.

In one experiment with 7.4 million views, Melt and Pour drizzled lava onto a giant cube of dry ice. The orange liquid sizzled until it quickly turned into a glossy, clump of black goo. Looks like something from one of the “Alien” movies.

For another video with over 12 million views, the TikTok poured molten aluminum into an avocado. The metal sizzled on contact as smoke wafted from the rapidly cooling silver glob. The crackling sound is of course oddly soothing.
Melt and Pour’s most popular video is somewhat similar. The center of a watermelon is carved out and molten aluminum is poured inside. The metal sounds like a tired motor and propelled tiny bits of silver into the air.

“I’m so confused. Why is this so exciting to watch?” someone said.
