Love Island's Maura Higgins has recently coupled up with Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice and they can't get enough of each other, and in all honesty – we can't get enough of them.
June 26 2021
Early in the summer on June 26, the pair were spotted together watching the Italy Euro 2020 match at Wembley. This started rumours that they were *a thing*.
July 2 2021
It was in July that speculation heightened and the pair were spotted in a more intimate setting. Maura and her dancing hunk were seen partying in Blackpool when The Sun released exclusive photos of the rumoured couple. The publication reported that a member of the public said: “They looked totally smitten with each other."
July 9 2021
After a lot of speculation the happy couple confirmed their romance on Instagram a few weeks ago, which caused a stir among fans.
On July 9, Maura took to social media to make her relationship 'Instagram official' with a sweet yet sultry snap of the pair, to which she simply wrote "I’m yours❤️" in the caption.
Her followers and friends were overjoyed and flocked to the comments to gush over Maura and her new beau, with one fan writing "Finally a man that kinda matches how hot she is!!!" while another penned "Hey saw you both in Blackpool together and you both made the perfect couple."
On the same day, Giovanni also posted a photo to cement their relationship, where he wrote "You’re mine ♥️."
July 17 2021
Over a weekend in mid-July the couple even recreated a famous scene from The Lion King in a sweet social media video that left fans gushing over their romance.
Maura could be seen smiling, while Giovanni covered her face with curry sauce as he said, "Simba".
August 1 2021
The happy couple are currently enjoying summer as a twosome, with social media posts featuring the pair becoming more frequent.
Giovanni took to Instagram in August to pine for his lover, while he's away from Maura. He posted a sweet snap of them both loved up in a swimming pool writing a lovely caption to accompany it, which read " Missing my babygirl ♥️ @maurahiggins." Maura then replied to her boyfriend's photo with "Not long now baby ❤️" while fans and friends shared the couple's joy, with Molly-Mae even writing "Very cute ❤️."
But what about their previous relationships?
Maura shot to fame back in 2019 after entering the Love Island villa. Famous for trying to steal Molly-Mae Hague's man Tommy Fury, Maura ended up with Curtis Pritchard after snatching him from Amy Hart before coupling up with Chris Taylor once they had left the Spanish island.
Maura was with Curtis for around eight months before growing close to Chris and making it official last year. Although their romance didn't last long either, with the pair confirming their split from each other back in May.
Giovanni on the other hand has had celeb romances with the likes of The Only Way is Essex star Jess Wright and more recently Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.
Anyway, Maura and Giovanni are a couple we are rooting for and we still can't get over how hot they are.
