New Tokyo Cafe Is Staffed By Bodybuilding Females

A quirky new café in Tokyo is entirely staffed by female bodybuilders - Muscle Girls sees customers not only served by keen weightlifters, but also treated to fitness showcases.

The venue, which describes itself as "a training centre for girls and muscle", started out as a female-only gym, but soon evolved to serving drinks and snacks.

The idea took off, but the pandemic prevented customers visiting, so the staff created their own YouTube channel and gained thousands of followers on social media.

But now the café is able to open 7pm to midnight, with protein smoothies on the menu and a training area for those looking to join in the workouts. Beer, wine and cocktails are also now available.

Muscle Girls accept requests for children's gymnastics classes, personal training, body make-up and training guidance.

They say: "Muscles is a training centre for girls who love muscles and aim for their ideal body shape for muscular girls. We will teach you effective weight training."
