Too Close viewers furious as ITV crashes on Sky during finale
Too Close spoilers follow.
ITV miniseries Too Close, starring Emily Watson, came to a conclusion on Wednesday night (April 14) after three episodes.
The drama, which also featured Stella actress Denise Gough, focused on a dangerous relationship that develops between forensic psychiatrist Dr Emma Robertson (Watson) and her patient Connie Mortensen (Gough) after Connie is accused of a horrific crime – which she claims she doesn't remember committing.
Viewers were gripped during the hour-long finale, but with just the final quarter to go, many watching on Sky were left furious when the episode froze during an advert break.
Then, when normal service resumed, many complained that they had missed vital moments of the episode leading to its conclusion.
One person wrote: "What happened halfway through #TooClose The telly froze during an @scssofas ad break for about 20 mins which meant we missed most of the second part of the drama?"
Another added: "So now we've missed something crucial because of the frozen ad!!! #TooClose."
A third wrote: "Frozen screen !!!!!then nothing made sense when it finally came back #TooClose anyone else???"

#TooClose #itv so what was the big revelation? Missed crucial bit. Presumably not Snoop’s message, ‘Just Eat?’ Which some of us had for 5 min.s (Although tbf has always been my solution to most of life’s problems.)

I throughly enjoyed this, such a candid and devastating exploration of psychosis. Denise Gough was a phenomenal lead and deserves all the praise, plus Emily Watson was brilliant too. #TooClose
