Top Gear has unveiled a first-look trailer at its new series, as Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness return to present the popular motoring show – and there's a special Formula 1 treat in store.

In the stunt-heavy teaser, the trio get up to all sorts of exciting-looking things, including Zorbing, sampling the delights of electric caravanning – portable toilets, anyone? – and embarking on an international trip to Iceland.

As teased in the clip, the gang also get involved in the British Grand Prix, racing one another in front of a huge crowd at Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire. F1 drivers Antonio Giovinazzi, Sebastian Vettel, and Lando Norris are all shown on the track.

They'll pay tribute to legendary daredevil Eddie Kidd who was paralysed and suffered brain damage following an accident in 1996, too. In June 2012, he was awarded an OBE as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

If that's not enough, Flintoff, Harris and McGuinness will also be seen trying out the Lamborghini Huracán STO, the Aston Victor, a Rolls-Royce Dawn, a retro Batmobile and more.

Speaking of big stunts, Flintoff previously revealed to Metro.co.uk that he deliberately keeps what he and his co-hosts get up to each series a secret from his wife Rachael, as he knows she wouldn't be "too happy about some of them" and that she'd worry endlessly.

"I don't tend to tell her," he said. "She only finds out when it's on TV so when I was perched off the edge of a dam in a Rover Metro, waiting to be dropped off on a bungee, it was a bit awkward."

Top Gear returns to BBC One in November.
