Raptors' Kyle Lowry named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Coming off their big comeback win against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has been crowned the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

This is his first Player of the Week honour since 2016 and sixth overall, according to Blake Murphy of The Athletic.

Over the span of four contest last week, Lowry averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 10.0 assists, and 0.8 steals per game. The Raptors went 4-0 during that stretch.

This honour coincides with head coach Nick Nurse earning the title of November’s Eastern Conference Coach of the Month.

The defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors hold a record of 21-8 this season, tying them for third in the Eastern Conference with the Miami Heat.

The Raptors will face the Indiana Pacers on Monday night prior to their first-ever Christmas Day game. That will be against the Boston Celtics — currently 20-7 and second in the East — later this week.
