In a stretched second half, Moreno Rodrigo added a third for Leeds on the counter-attack.
Here is how we rated the Tottenham players...
Hugo Lloris 8
His cat-like reflexes kept Spurs in the game with a couple of acrobatic saves. Powerless to prevent the goals and actually made a fine save to deny Reguilon before Dallas struck.
Serge Aurier 5
Sloppy. Leeds’ first two goals came from doubling-up down his flank but he was short of cover from Gareth Bale. Forced a fine save from Illan Meslier.
Toby Alderweireld 6
The best of Tottenham’s defenders but not an easy task playing alongside Dier, Reguilon and Aurier when they are this chaotic.
Arguably at fault for all three Leeds goals, allowing Jack Harrison’s cross past him for the first, statuesque for Bamford’s strike and guilty of playing Raphinha onside for the third.
Sergio Reguilon 5
In a chaotic start, forced a fine save from his own goalkeeper before Dallas’ goal. Never looked comfortable faced with Leeds energy and numbers.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 5
Wasteful in possession and indisciplined, failing to give Spurs any sort of midfield platform. In his 50th game for the club, he ultimately looked jaded and in need of a rest.
Giovani Lo Celso 6
Involved in many of Spurs’ best moves going forward but still feels almost like a spare part, without a properly defined role.
Gareth Bale 4
After his brilliant hat-trick last weekend, back to being a passenger. Failed to give Aurier sufficient cover and hard to remember any telling contributions in the final third.
Dele Alli 7
Shone in front of Gareth Southgate in the first half, creating both Son’s goal and Kane’s disallowed strike. Faded after half-time.
Heung-min Son 7
Back on a hot-streak and finished cooly to make it four goals in five League appearances. Frustrated to miss with a couple of second-half chances.
Harry Kane 6
Twice had goals disallowed for offside (the first was incredibly harsh) and struck the bar with a free-kick. Will wonder how he didn’t score.
Erik Lamela (Dele 67’) 5
Forced a late save from Meslier but otherwise sloppy in possession and gave away fouls. The wrong sub.
Lucas Moura (Bale 67’) 5
Offered little aside from energy.
Tanguy Ndombele (Lo Celso) 5
Introduced too late to have an significant impact on the game. An odd omission from the start given Leeds’ pressing.
Not used: Hart, Sanchez, Doherty, Winks, Sissoko, Ndombele, Lucas, Bergwijn, Lamela.
