Linde Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Director Thomas Enders for US$545k worth of shares, at about US$160 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$254. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Does Linde Boast High Insider Ownership?

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. It's great to see that Linde insiders own 0.1% of the company, worth about US$170m. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
