Travelport: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

LANGLEY BERKSHIRE, Britain (AP) _ Travelport Worldwide Ltd. (TVPT) on Friday reported fourth-quarter profit of $2.5 million.

The Langley Berkshire, Britain-based company said it had profit of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 31 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 26 cents per share.

The travel commerce company posted revenue of $588.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $72.6 million, or 57 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $2.55 billion.

Travelport shares have increased 0.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 15 percent in the last 12 months.
