TREASURIES-U.S. bond prices hold gains after July CPI data

NEW YORK, Aug 16 (Reuters) - U.S (Other OTC: UBGXF - news) . Treasury prices briefly held their earlier gains on Tuesday as a weaker-than-forecast reading on domestic consumer prices in July was offset by an unexpected rise in home construction to a five-month high.

Benchmark 10-year Treasury notes were last up 4/32 in price for a yield of 1.539 percent, down 1.3 basis points from late on Monday. (Reporting by Richard Leong)
