Tunisia's trade deficit rises to $4.59 billion in August
TUNIS (Reuters) - Tunisia's trade deficit rose 2.7 percent in the first eight months this year compared to the same period of last year, to a total of 7.4 billion Tunisian dinars, official data showed on Wednesday. State's Statistics Institute said that the deficit rose from 7.4 billion dinar last year to 7.6 billion dinar this year, as imports in the January to August period rose by 5.1 percent to 26 billion dinars. Exports grew by 5.8 percent to 18.4 billion dinars.
