Turkey 0-2 Wales LIVE! Ramsey goal, Bale penalty miss - Euros result, highlights, latest news and reaction

Turkey vs Wales – LIVE!

Wales are within sight of the knockout stages at Euro 2020 after producing a superb performance to beat Turkey in Baku.

Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring shortly before half-time, having already spurned two golden chances, as he combined superbly with Gareth Bale.

Bale could have put the result beyond doubt himself when winning a second-half penalty, but the Real Madrid star blazed his spot-kick way over the bar.

No matter, as Turkey tried and failed to find a leveller, Wales finally sealed victory deep in stoppage time as Bale teed-up Connor Roberts to sweep home a second.

The result sends Wales to the top of Group A, at least until Italy play Switzerland later on Wednesday, and it would take an unlikely sequence of results to see them miss out on the last-16, as one of the best third-placed teams at the very least.
