Twitter goes down around the world as woes continue
Thousands of Twitter users complained of problems on Friday evening, the third time in a matter of days that the popular microblogging site has suffered an outage.
Users in the UK, France and across the United States all said they had experienced difficulties posting messages or viewing their timeline.
Twitter confirmed the problem and said it had resolved the issue.
"Earlier today, people were unable to send Tweets for about 30 minutes," it said on its Twitter Support account. "We’ve resolved the internal issue and we’re sorry for the disruption."
As with previous episodes, users still managed to make their feelings clear.

Like other online companies, Twitter has been under intense scrutiny in recent months amid questions about privacy, bullying and vulnerabilities to bot swarms propagating fake news.
On Friday it emerged that Russian cyber security giant Kaspersky had been banned from advertising on Twitter over claims its business practice contradicts the site's advertising policies and concerns about the company's links to Russian intelligence services.
It has also suffered from recent bouts of instability, harking back to its early days when users frequently had to deal with messages saying the site was over capacity.
Some users may have experienced problems sending and viewing Tweets earlier today. This issue is now resolved.

It had already been hit by brief problems three times during April.
Earlier today, we identified an issue affecting Tweets with media or links not sending and instead returning an error message. The issue persisted for less than 10 minutes, and was resolved shortly after. We apologize for the inconvenience.
