CORRECTED(OFFICIAL)-Two injured during maintenance at Shell's Pernis oil refinery

(Corrects to say incident was at Hycon plant, according to Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) spokesman, not on hydrocracker as was said on Shell's website)

LONDON, March 21 (Reuters) -

* Two workers were injured during maintenance on the Hycon plant at Shell's 404,000-barrels-per-day Pernis oil refinery in the Netherlands on Wednesday, a spokesman said

* The plant is down for maintenance, Shell said

* Hycon is a Shell process that converts heavy residues to lighter products, while removing metals, the spokesman said

* A statement on Shell's website had earlier indicated the incident was on the hydrocracker

* An investigation into the cause of the incident has started, the spokesman said (Reporting by Ahmad Ghaddar; Editing by Dale Hudson/Mark Heinrich)
