UFC fighter turned food critic has TikTokers crying over pizzeria review

This former UFC figher is changing lives, one TikTok at a time.

Once a UFC fighter, now a viral food critic, Keith Lee is changing lives with his authentic food reviews on TikTok.

Lee is based in Las Vegas and makes a consistent effort to review local businesses in the area. Millions of people tune in to nearly each one of his food reviews, in which he sits in a “Paw Patrol” chair, looks straight into the camera and delivers his takes in a calm monotone. Yet, his most recent video shattered his viewership records, amassing over 32 million in just under 10 days.

The review was of a local pizzeria named Frankensons. Lee received a call from one of the employees asking Lee to review the food. According to that employee, marketing was the only reason the business was struggling.

Following Lee’s review, that’s no longer the case. The former fighter critiqued eight items from Frankensons and gave the restaurant stunning reviews on the food and the service.

Since Lee posted the video, Frankensons has seen an exponential boom in demand. The restaurant had to close early because of too many orders.

“Our phone never stopped ringing,” said Frankensons owner Frank Steele to local news station KTNV with tears in his eyes. “I’ve sold more lemon pepper wings in the last two days than I have in the past four months. I made more garlic knots yesterday and the day before than I’ve ever made.”

Lee first began to do food reviews to prepare for a scheduled appearance on People vs. Food, a popular food-focused YouTube channel.

“I was like OK, if I was to be on their show and I was a viewer, what would I look for if somebody was on a different platform?” Lee told Damon Martin of MMAfighting.com. “What would I look for in order for me to go to their platform and watch their videos? I was like, food reviews. I would watch somebody do food reviews all day. So let me start doing food reviews.

“I told my wife, ‘I guess I’m just going to start rolling out food reviews before I go on People vs. Food.’”

That was the right move. In just over a year, Lee has gone from not being given another contract as a fighter to one of the most influential food critics in the ethos.
