UK cards data shows slight rise in consumer spending

LONDON (Reuters) - Bank of England data on credit and debit card payments showed consumer spending in the week to June 24 rose to 93% of its pre-pandemic average, up by two percentage points from the previous week, the Office for National Statistics said.
