UK finance ministry says Jayne-Anne Gadhia won't take up BoE post

LONDON, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Britain's finance ministry said on Tuesday that Jayne-Anne Gadhia, recently appointed as an executive at U.S. online services provider Salesforce, will no longer take up her appointment on the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee.

"We are of course sorry that Jayne-Anne Gadhia won't be taking up her role as an external member on the Financial Policy Committee," the Bank of England said in a statement.

The finance ministry said it will launch a new appointment process to fill the vacancy. (Reporting by Andy Bruce; editing by Guy Faulconbridge)
