UK GAS-Prices mixed as imports from Norway rise but temperatures cool
LONDON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Prompt British wholesale gas prices were mixed on Monday morning, as gas for immediate delivery was lower on higher imports from Norway.
* The within-day gas price < TRGBNBPWKD> was down 0.90 pence at 25.60 pence per therm by 0841 GMT.
* The day-ahead gas contract was up 0.80 p at 25.60 p/therm.
* Traders said imports of gas from Norway to Britain had ramped up on Monday sending within-day prices lower, while the day-ahead price was buoyed by cooler temperatures and an expected increase in demand for heating.
* Imports from Norway through the Langeled pipeline were around 14 mcm on Monday, up from around 6 mcm the previous day.
* Total imports of Norwegian gas to Britain were around 37 mcm/day on Monday, data from Norwegian gas operator Gassco showed.
* With temperatures set to dip, analysts at Refinitv increased their forecast for day-ahead local distribution zone gas demand by 5 mcm compared with their previous forecast, they said in a daily research note.
* Further out on the curve, prices were little changed.
* October contract flat at 30.75 p/therm.
* Winter 2019 contract flat at 47.25 pence per therm.
* Day-ahead gas price at the Dutch TTF hub up 0.60 euro at 10.00 euros per megawatt hour.
