REFILE-UK GAS-Prices rise as fall in Norway imports leads to undersupply

(Fixes typographical error in headline)

Sept 27 (Reuters) - British wholesale gas prices rose as a fall in imports from Norway left the market undersupplied and as demand climbed due to lower temperatures than previously forecast.

* Day-ahead gas rose by 1.00 pence to 26.00 pence/therm by 0802 GMT

* Weekend gas was up 0.75 pence at 25.00 p/therm

* The October gas contract rose by 0.70 pence to 31.35 pence per therm.

* Lower flows from Norway helped undersupply the market, while temperatures were lower than forecasts previously showed, traders said, explaining the price move.

* Norwegian gas flows to Britain are at low levels, falling to 22 million cubic metres (mcm) per day on Friday from 31 mcm/day the previous day.

* Gas flows via the largest pipeline between the two countries, Langeled, were halted due to maintenance. Flows via Vesterled were also low at 4 mcm/day.

* The British gas system was undersupplied, with demand forecast at 167.0 mcm/day and supply at 156.4 mcm/day, National Grid data showed.

* Average daily temperatures are forecast at 13.4 degrees Celsius for Friday and are expected to fall to 12.3C the next business day, Refinitiv Eikon data showed. The forecast for Friday was 1.8C lower than previously seen.

* Wind power generation is expected to reach 8.0 gigawatts (GW) on Friday out of 12.1 GW capacity, according to Elexon data. It is forecast at 7.7 GW for Saturday.

* Day-ahead gas at the Dutch TTF hub rose by 0.12 euro to 10.30 euros per megawatt hour (MWh)

* The Dutch month-ahead gas contract, a benchmark for LNG prices as well as European gas, was up by 0.02 euro at 12.20 euros/MWh.
