UK GAS-Prompt falls on warmer weather and increased Norway flows
July 20 (Reuters) - British prompt gas prices fell slightly on Friday on expectations for higher temperatures in the days coming and as increased flows from Norway created an oversupplied system.
* Day-ahead gas fell by 0.05 pence at 58.20 pence per therm at 0818 GMT
* Gas for weekend delivery was down 0.25 pence at 57.80 pence per therm
* Forecasts for warmer weather in the coming days and stronger gas imports from Norway were behind the price move, said a British gas trader.
* Average daily temperatures in Britain are seen at about 18.2 degrees Celsius on Friday but are expected to rise to 21.1 C on Saturday (Shenzhen: 002291.SZ - news) , Thomson Reuters Eikon data showed
* Gas supply from Norway to Britain rose to 82 million cubic metres (mcm) per day from 75 mcm/day the previous day.
* The British gas market was oversupplied, with demand forecast at 184.3 million cubic metres and flows at 194.4 mcm/day, National Grid data showed
* InterconnectorUK exports to continental Europe are 4.7 mcm higher compared to the previous day
* Britain received one liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel on Friday at Milford Haven and expects one more on July 26
* Forward monthly gas contract for August rose 0.25 pence at 57.80 p/therm.
* In the Dutch gas market, the day-ahead price at the TTF hub inched down by 0.10 euro to 22.13 euros per megawatt-hour
