UK to introduce bill to reduce insurance costs for motorists

LONDON, June 21 (Reuters) - Britain said on Wednesday it will introduce a civil liability bill to bring down the cost of insurance premiums by reducing the cost and quantity of whiplash claims.

It will introduce a new fixed tariff of compensation for whiplash injuries of up to two years and ban offers to settle claims without the support of medical evidence. (Reporting by Costas Pitas; editing by Andy Bruce)
