UK North Sea Buzzard oilfield has output glitch -trade source

LONDON, Dec (Shanghai: 600875.SS - news) 15 (Reuters) - The Buzzard oilfield in the UK North Sea, the largest contributor to the Forties crude stream, has had a new production glitch, a trade source said on Monday.

Further details were not immediately available. A spokeswoman for Buzzard's operator, Nexen (KSE: 005720.KS - news) , could not immediately be reached for comment.

Buzzard's output rate is important for global oil prices as the Forties stream helps to underpin the price of benchmark dated Brent. (Reporting by Alex Lawler, editing by David Evans)
