May 24 (Reuters) - The campaign to keep Britain in the European Union has tied with the "Out" camp, according to an opinion poll by YouGov (LSE: YOU.L - news) which was reported by a journalist at The Times newspaper.

Fourty-one percent of respondents wanted Britain to stay in EU compared with 41 percent who wanted the country to leave, the poll showed, according to a message posted on Twitter (Xetra: A1W6XZ - news) by Times political correspondent Sam Coates.

The previous YouGov poll for The Times, published last week, gave the "In" camp a four-point lead.
