UK's Sainsbury's to pay small suppliers immediately during coronavirus pandemic

LONDON, March 25 (Reuters) - British supermarket Sainsbury's said on Wednesday it would assist nearly 1,500 smaller suppliers during the coronavirus pandemic by paying them immediately.

The firm said it would also make finance available to help suppliers manage production volumes and cash flow.

Sainsbury's also said concession partners in its stores and other property tenants would be offered a change in payment terms.
