UK's Torness 2 nuclear unit went off the grid on Tuesday
LONDON, March 18 (Reuters) - Britain's 640-megawatt Torness 2 nuclear power generation unit went off the grid on Tuesday and is expected to remain unavailable for seven days, operator EDF (EUREX: DE000A1XQ1S7.EX - news) Energy said on Tuesday.
"TORN-2 (Torness 2) came off line at 13:07 (GMT) on 18/03/2014. Unit availability is expected to be 0 MW for the next 7 days," the company said on its regulatory homepage.
