UPS sues EU, Ford adds Google’s Waze, YouTube TV prices change

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you.

UPS (UPS) tops our list. It’s suing the European Union for $2.15B after regulators blocked its acquisition of Dutch delivery company TNT. UPS says the EU wrongly vetoed the deal but the EU stands by its claim that allowing the buyout would have resulted in a duopoly with DHL. Shortly after UPS called off the merger, rival FedEx bought TNT and expanded its reach in Europe.

Ford (F) is adding the fan favorite app Waze to its vehicles. Starting in April, the Google (GOOGL) owned app will be connected to Ford’s Sync 3 AppLink platform. The new feature will let users get directions using touch and voice commands.

Sticking with Google (GOOGL), the tech giant is raising the price of YouTube TV. New users who sign up after March 13 will pay $40 a month, $5 more than current users. The decision comes after YouTube added channels from Time Warner’s Turner, National Basketball League and Major League Baseball to its platform.

And new reports confirm that Uber and Lyft are making traffic worse. Studies found ride hailing companies are making traffic even more of a headache by pulling riders off buses, subways, bicycles and their own feet.
