V.F.: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) _ V.F. Corp. (VFC) on Friday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $463.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Greensboro, North Carolina-based company said it had profit of $1.16. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.31 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.09 per share.

The maker of brands such as Vans, North Face and Timberland posted revenue of $3.94 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.87 billion.

V.F. expects full-year earnings to be $3.73 per share, with revenue expected to be $13.8 billion.

V.F. shares have increased almost 3 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed 5 percent. The stock has fallen 6 percent in the last 12 months.
