VEGOILS-Market factors to watch March 27

The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and

other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Thursday, tracking crude oil prices that

surged as fighting in the Middle East intensified.

* U.S. grain and soybean futures reversed early gains to turn lower on Thursday

on pressure from a higher dollar, with wheat's three-session decline of more

than 6 percent the biggest such slide in nearly two years.

* Oil jumped about 5 percent on Thursday, the biggest daily gain in a month, as

air strikes in Yemen by Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies sparked fears that

escalation of the Middle East battle could disrupt world crude supplies.

MARKET NEWS

* Oil prices jumped 5 percent and stock markets worldwide slumped on Thursday

after Saudi Arabia and allies carried out air strikes in Yemen, which fueled

worries in the Middle East that energy shipments may be put at risk.
