Fans of all things classic - and not just mouthwatering historic cars - should head to vibrant, revitalised King’s Cross on April 27 and 28 for the next Classic Car Boot Sale.

This retro-flavoured mini festival features more than 100 traders, 120 classic vehicles, 10 camper vans, three charities, one bus, four vinyl sellers, five three-wheelers, 10 bicycle traders, a mods and rockers ride-in and much more - and it’s only £5 to get in.

One of the event's many attractions is that classic cars are an integral part, forming the basis of the various stalls as well as the various displays.

Along with a host of stalls selling vintage clothing and artefacts will be a wide variety of historic vehicles. Those appearing for the  first time are a rare 1965 Buick Riviera, an award-winning Ford Mustang fastback from 1968, a classic Land Rover converted to electric propulsion, the villains’ bus from the famed Sixties crime caper The Italian Job, along with three Reliant Robins with stunning stained glass windows that immortalise some of London’s finest musicians such as David Bowie and Amy Winehouse.

The Buick Riviera is claimed to be one of only 98 'Special Order Paint' models made in 1965 from a total production of 40,000 - and only five are believed to exist in the UK.

The 1968 Mustang, as immortalised in the car chase in the film Bullitt, with Steve McQueen at the wheel, was restored over 18 months and really has to be seen to be believed.

For the first time, the Classic Car Boot Sale will take over the whole of the beautifully restored Granary Square, Lewis Cubitt Square and Coal Drop Yard for two days, all of it public space and only a few minutes walk from King’s Cross station.

A pair of beautiful 1960s American Airstream caravans will create a ‘wellbeing area’ with demonstrations throughout the day.

There are ample opportunities to enjoy a relaxing lunch and drinks with friends, with street-food stalls serving up delicious offerings from around the world, plus a variety of bars and hot drinks vendors around the festival - all served from classic vehicles, naturally.

The family-friendly festival is open from 10am-6pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Entry costs just £5, with under-12s admitted free.
