Dozens of people across the UK have complained of having Visa payments fail on Sunday.

According to tracking website Down Detector, dozens of incidents were reported between 11am and 4pm throughout the day.

The highest number of reports were processed just before 2 pm, with 60 complaints having been filed.

Ninety per cent of the reports made were related to payments, while seven per cent of the were connected to ATM transactions and another 1 per cent were related to website use.

On its website, Down Detector said “user reports indicate possible problems at Visa”.

A map showing the distribution of reported issues found incidents to be occurring across the country, with a concentration of cases in London.
