It’s day one at the Tokyo Olympics and the medals are already being dished out. China’s Yang Qian won the first gold medal of the Games in the women’s 10m air rifle with an Olympic record score of 251.8, ahead of Russian athlete Anastasiia Galashina and Switzerland’s Nina Christen. Team GB’s representative, Seonaid McIntosh, narrowly missed out on the final after finishing 12th in qualifying but will return for her stronger 50m event later in the Games.
