VWAP
The volume weighted average price (VWAP) is the average trading price of a listed security during a specific period, usually a day. It is calculated by multiplying the number of shares traded by the price they traded at and dividing this by the total number of shares traded in one day. If the price at which an investor bought the shares was lower than the VWAP it is considered to be a good move. The VWAP is a trading benchmark most commonly used in pensions.
