Walkie Talkie signs up two more tenants

CANARY Wharf Group and Land Securities’ Walkie-Talkie skyscraper is now 87 per cent let after the developers confirmed they had secured two new tenants yesterday.

US insurance firm CNA and law firm DWF have agreed to take 35,000 square feet (sq ft) and 43,000 sq ft respectively, joining ten other companies that will soon move into the 38-storey building.

The developers completed 20 Fenchurch Street in May, with the first tenants due to move into the building this month.

The City has been one of the best performing letting markets over the past year, with rents surging as companies clamour for space.

The Walkie Talkie is leased at an average headline rent of £63 per sq ft for 17 years, according to Jefferies analysts.
