Yahoo Finance CJ Miles to see specialist for left wrist injury, season reportedly in jeopardy
Washington Wizards forward CJ Miles is set to see a specialist on Monday for his left wrist injury, which may require season-ending surgery, according to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.

Miles first injured his wrist while taking a charge in the Wizards’ 117-104 loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday. He has not played since, missing their win against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday and then their 125-103 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
He will miss their game against the Clippers on Sunday, too, and see the specialist when the team returns to Washington on Monday — something he was unable to do earlier due to the holiday weekend. An MRI earlier this week revealed some ligament damage in his wrist.
“[We] don’t know exactly to what extent,” Wizards coach Scott Brooks said Friday, via the Washington Post. “Right now, they’re talking to the doctors, talking to CJ as well and our staff and have a game plan, I’m sure, the next couple of days.”
Miles has averaged 6.4 points and 1.2 rebounds off the bench in 10 games this season, his 15th in the league. The 32-year-old was traded to Washington after a brief stint with the Memphis Grizzlies this summer in exchange for Dwight Howard, who eventually ended up with the Lakers.
Miles underwent surgery in July to repair a stress fracture in his left foot, and missed their first five games of the season recovering.
“Prayers to him, first and foremost,” Wizards guard Ish Smith said, via the Washington Post. “That’s my friend. That’s my brother. We want a speedy recovery. Whatever the case is, we’re praying for him.”
