Watch Melania Trump greet her stepdaughter Ivanka at Trump's RNC speech
First lady Melania Trump briefly greeted Ivanka Trump, the first daughter and a White House senior adviser, before President Donald Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday.
An excerpt published earlier Thursday from a forthcoming book by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania's former best friend, detailed the icy relationship between Melania and Ivanka.
Wolkoff, who played a major role in the president's inauguration, described an effort from the first lady to diminish Ivanka's role in the ceremonies, called "Operation Block Ivanka."
