Week 10's top game: Sputtering Russell Wilson, Seahawks face Rams in NFC West showdown

Yahoo Sports NFL senior writers Charles Robinson and Terez Paylor select a Week 10 game that will leave us buzzing into Monday.

Seattle has lost two of the past three and is suddenly looking remarkably wobbly on defense. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson has let the pack creep back into the MVP race.

The bottom line: Seattle has plenty of work to do down the stretch if it’s going to get back in front as the NFC’s Super Bowl favorite. A win against the Rams — who are looking to insert themselves squarely into the Super Bowl picture — would be a good start.

After Josh Allen and the Bills eviscerated the Seahawks’ defense last week, Seattle (6-2) gets a shot at redemption against the Rams (5-3), who are coming off a bye week.

If Seattle doesn’t want to give up another 400-yard passing day, it’ll need to keep Jared Goff in the pocket and make him deliver the football under pressure. On the flip side, the Rams’ defense will need to bottle up the run in key situations and somehow keep a lid on Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf.

Neither team faces an easy task, but the winner gets an important edge in the super-competitive NFC West.
