Wendy Williams thinks Jason Momoa should have been People's 'Sexiest Man Alive'

PEOPLE may think John Legend is the “sexiest man alive” but Wendy Williams disagrees.

Williams weighed in on PEOPLE’s 2019 pick and said Legend isn’t the first person she thinks of when she hears the word “sexy.”

“When I think about a sexy man I’m not thinking ‘John Legend,’ she said. “The first thing I think of is that I weigh so much more than him and if we were walking down the street and somebody wanted to spray me with a water gun I need a man who’s gonna punch someone in the face,” she added.

So who does Williams think should have gotten the “sexiest man alive” honor? “If I could think of one person it would be Jason Momoa,” said Williams as her studio audience cheered in agreement.

Williams explained why she would pick the Aquaman star over Legend, saying “If you know, I’m not quite feeling right after leaving the club I need a man to throw me over his shoulder and say, ‘come on girl—we’re going.’” She added, “John is not that guy.”

Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen bragged about being married to Legend on Twitter:

Though Teigen may be excited her husband got picked by PEOPLE, others on Twitter disagreed and backed up Williams’s pick:

Legend also had his supporters and they made their voices heard loud and clear:
