Where does the ‘I love this question’ sound come from?

One of the latest trends on TikTok is a sound from actress Lola Tung, and it lets users discuss the questions they’ve been waiting to answer.

On Aug. 17, Elsie Silver, a romance book author, (@authorelsiesilver) posted a video with a CapCut template of Lola Tung saying, “Oh my goodness, I love this question!”

“When someone asks me what my books are about,” Silver wrote in her video.

Silver used a snippet from an interview Tung, who stars in Amazon Prime Network’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, did for IMDB shortly before the premiere of season two of the show. In the interview, the cast members were answering fan questions, and one of the things viewers wanted to know was which Taylor Swift era the characters in the show were in.

Tung didn’t let her exuberance get in the way of answering the question, as she said that her character, Belly, was in her Folklore era.

TikTokers have latched onto the excitement Silver has to talk about her books and apply it to a wide range of topics. Currently, Silver’s sound has over 120,000 videos credited to it. Whether people want to debrief from a night out or have their ideal day planned, the sound has something for everyone.

“Is it just me or was their vibe off?” wrote @_zealous.zii in her video.

“When someone asks if I wanna take fit pics for insta and then go to a local cafe to edit the picture while sipping on a cute little latte,” wrote @skylerjadde in her post.

This isn’t the first time TikTokers have latched onto something related to The Summer I Turned Pretty. Earlier this year, a video of the cast doing trust falls went viral on TikTok, receiving over 11 million views. The official TikTok page for the show posted the video the same day that episode four of the current season was released, and fans couldn’t get enough behind the scenes content.

“The summer I turned pretty is literally my favorite thing ever I am absolutely obsessed with it,” commented @sum._.10._. Under the post.

On top of the viral trust falls, fans are learning one of the dance routines from the show, which is also a trend on TikTok. In episode six of the current season, Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Taylor (Rain Spencer) performed a choreographed dance number to Miley Cyrus‘s “Party in the U.S.A.“ Fans were obsessed with their moves and began to try them out for themselves.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of the most popular shows out, especially with the season two finale recently releasing. From dance trends to fun interviews, the show’s impact on TikTok is heavily felt right now.
