Why On Earth Has Doritos Launched A Strawberries And Cream Flavour?

If you’re a tennis fan (or just a fan of drinking Pimm’s, tbh), you’ll be chuffed that Wimbledon is taking place this year. As – let’s be honest – nothing’s been certain for the past 15 months.

There’s one thing that always springs to mind when we think of Wimbledon and that’s strawberries and cream.

So, is that the case for the guys at Doritos HQ as well because the latest Doritos flavour appears to be, erm, strawberries and cream.

And no, as far as we can tell, this isn’t an incredibly late April Fool’s joke.

Let’s go back to the start, shall we? Recently, Doritos shared a post on Instagram saying that a new flavour was coming. And that new flavour was, indeed, strawberries and cream. Alongside a photo of the new flavour (the packaging is a huge strawberry being splashed with cream, natch…), the caption read: “Strawberries & Cream Doritos, you didn’t ask for them, but you’ll definitely want to try them 👀.”

Hmmmm, let’s not going put words in our mouths, eh Doritos.

Like us, most people who commented on the post were shocked and confused.

One person commented, “You know when something really bad happens and you don’t want to watch but you also can’t look away?” While another said, “More like strawberries and crime.” BURNNNNNNNNNNN.

So, let’s just keep an eye out for these in supermarkets to see if they really are a thing, or this has all just been a horrible dream.
