Tennis fans will no doubt be very excited for Wimbledon, with the iconic tournament beginning shortly.

And, everyone knows the tennis is best enjoyed with a tipple! The good news for gin fans is that luxurious gin-maker, Wimbledon Brewery, has launched a new bottle just in time for the iconic tennis tournament.

The new offering is called Wimbledon Garden Gin, which we think is apt for a summer gin best enjoyed watching sport. Made in small batches, it is crafted from botanicals that can be found from Wimbledon Common. Wimbledon Brewery says the flavours are “gorse and heather giving the gin floral notes to balance with the spice of juniper,” while it is distilled with liquorice, lemon and honey that also add to the depth of the flavour.

We think that this gin sounds like a delightfully floral twist on traditional dry gin. If you’re wondering how to serve it, Wimbledon Brewery recommends a “Wimbledon Garden G&T” by mixing the spirit with London Essence Indian Tonic and adding ice and a slice of lemon to serve. Alternatively, make it into a “Wimbledon Bloom” by mixing 25ml Wimbledon Garden Gin with 25ml Apple Juice, 25ml Elderflower Cordial and ½ Lemon Juice. Shake with ice and top with prosecco for a glorious cocktail.
