Winnie-The-Pooh's Chance Meeting With The Queen

Winnie-the-Pooh has met the Queen for the first time - after the pair bumped into each other outside Buckingham Palace.

Well at least that’s the storyline in the bear’s latest adventure which has been released to celebrate both of their 90th birthdays.

Winnie-The-Pooh And The Royal Birthday sees Pooh travel to Buckingham Palace with Christopher Robin, Piglet and Eeyore to deliver a special present to the 90-year-old monarch.

The Queen is pictured in the book listening to Pooh as he recites her a birthday “hum” after a chance encounter when he spots her going for a stroll outside the Palace.

An audio video version narrated by Oscar winning actor Jim Broadbent has also been released.

As a youngster, Princess Elizabeth was said to have loved the Pooh tales.

She was also given a Christopher Robin china nursery set with hand-coloured pictures of Christopher Robin, Pooh and friends as a child.

The release is available free to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday in June and Winnie-the-Pooh’s 90th anniversary.
